MEMBERSHIP

Memberships are valid for the calendar year, from Jan 1 to Dec 31 and are not pro-rated. Buying early in the year is best to get the most value from your membership.

As of 2024, every member must show proof of completion of the Silvercore Outdoors Ranger User Course (see details on this below).

At all times, there must also be a club approved Range Safety Officer (RSO) present during live fire on the range.  That means, if you ever plan to go to the range by yourself, with a guest, or other members who are not RSO certified, you must complete both the Ranger User and Range Safety Officer Courses from Silvercore Outdoors.  CMGC has partnered with Silvercore Outdoor to provide Range User and Range Safety Officer certifications for all our Members, to meet club insurance requirements.
These steps are only required once in your lifetime, unless there is a break in membership for longer than 1 year.

The process for obtaining a club membership is as follows:

01

You must first purchase your CMGC Membership by sending an email money transfer of $100 CAD to our admin email.  In the notes, clearly type the name(s) of whom you are paying for a membership.  HOWEVER, THIS ALONE DOES NOT COMPLETE THE APPLICATION.  YOU MUST CONTINUE WITH THE FOLLOWING STEPS.

02

Once payment has been received and acknowledged by the administrator, you will receive an email with a coupon code.  Once you receive it, you will need to go to the next step.

03

Visit Silvercore Outdoor’s website using the links below.  Using the coupon code provided, you must purchase (at the discounted rate) and complete the following course(s):

  • If you plan to always use the range with a certified Range Safety Officer presents, then you only need to complete the Range User Course located here: Silvercore Range User Course

04

Once the course(s) are completed, you must email to our admin email the following:

  • A copy of the course certificate(s) showing successful completion.

  • A picture or scan of the front and back of your Possession and Acquisition License (PAL).

  • Current mailing address and phone number.

  • If you plan to use the range alone or supervise Members not Range Safety Officer qualified, you must complete the Range Safety Officer course located here: Silvercore Range Safety Officer Course

  • NOTE: The requirement to take this or these courses is once in a lifetime as long as you continue to renew your membership annually.  Failure to renew for one year will require the retake of the applicable course(s).

05

Once received and approved, your Membership Card and gate code will be mailed out to you.  Use of the range is not permitted until your Membership Card is in your possession.
